IKONIC HOLDINGS PTY LTD is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Bookkeeper to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with payroll and BAS preparation. Strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. Task & responsibilities

  • Maintain and balance financial records using manual and computerised accounting systems in accordance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare, process and issue invoices, purchase orders and bank deposits.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations by matching internal records with financial institution statements.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage business lines of credit.
  • Prepare financial statements, profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and budget and expenditure reports using accounting software and ledgers.
  • Verify the accuracy of recorded transactions and investigate discrepancies, reporting irregularities to management.
  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), including Goods and Services Tax (GST) reporting.
  • Maintain payroll records and process superannuation contributions in compliance with Australian legislation.
  • Provide required financial and taxation documentation to government authorities, including tax file number records and statutory reports.

Qualification & experience

  • AQF Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (or higher qualification such as Diploma of Accounting or Bachelor of Accounting).
  • At least one year of relevant full-time work experience 
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
